Bridgewater: La Casetta

On Bridgewater‘s main street, Nova Scotia, La Casetta is a charming Italian restaurant offering an authentic fine dining experience that brings the warmth and flavours of Italy to the South Shore. Known for its cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff, La Casetta has quickly become a local favourite for both casual meals and special occasions.

Chef owner Joey Richard is incredibly friendly and attentive, and brings truly fresh, local ingredients into his kitchen. The last time I stopped by for lunch on the patio, the server was plucking fresh basil out of a planter for the elaborate drinks the ladies at the table next to me ordered!

La Casetta, meaning “the little house” in Italian, lives up to its name with its intimate and homely setting. The small restaurant is designed with a rustic elegance, featuring exposed brick walls, wooden accents, and soft lighting, making it the perfect spot for a romantic dinner or a relaxed gathering with friends and family.
